NFPA is a non-profit organization founded in 1896. The mission of the NFPA is to aid in the personal safety of people working in threatening environments such as the fire industry. They are the world’s foremost advocate of codes and standards, research, training, and education.

Public safety and fire prevention are key areas that the NFPA has established publications for, and they offer 300+ consensus codes and standards for the purpose of minimizing the potentially lethal threats of such environments. The NFPA is truly a world leader in workplace safety standards and has a membership base of 65,000 people worldwide.
