Most deaths or severe injures resulting from electrical arc is cause by intense energy which will cause typical clothing to burst into flames. This is why we at the Silver Needle have researched and designed item that are industry specific. The materials we offer are fire resistant therefore they do not burn when the flame is removed minimizing the injuries sustained after the initial arc. Our Fleece collection which is a fire resistant, anti static non-melting fabric makes it an excellent stand alone protective barrier. This clothing also offers excellent level of protection when used as a liner under our Grizzly Wear.
When worn in conjunction with our 11.5 oz. caramel duck the two will give you a rating of typically 29.0 cal/cm2. Silver Needle also offers fabrics such as Nomex ®, Indura Ultra Soft ®, Indura ® fleece, Valzon ®.
